Substitute Ink Cartridges
By following the guidelines given below, replace the cartridge if you find that the ink out light is blinking or is on.
If not on switch to the 123.hp.com/envy7155 printer. Now open the door to access the ink cartridge. You will note the carriage is moving to the printer center. Now, click the ink cartridge in the tab at the front.
To mount the ink cartridges, make sure that you do not raise the latch next to the carriage. This can lead to problems in cartridge and printing. Please notice that the latch must remain down to properly mount the ink cartridges.
Do not turn off the printer in case of missing ink cartridge. Make sure you refill any missing cartridges immediately to prevent problems with print quality and potential additional use of the ink or damage to the ink system.
Remove an ink cartridge from its packaging now and fully remove the orange pull-tab and plastic wrap before you remove the orange cap in the next step.
This is to prevent leakage of ink from the cartridge. The paper label on top of the ink cartridge can tear slightly when removing the plastic wrap, which is necessary to properly ventilate the ink cartridge.
Make sure you twist the orange cap against clockwise to take it off. Now slide the ink cartridge into its slot with the nozzle and contacts facing down, then press down on the ink cartridge until it snaps into place.
Make sure the coloured icon on the ink cartridge blends in with the coloured icon on the slot. If the ink cartridge does not snap into place, then the ink cartridge must be removed from the carriage.
Now bend the tab gently away from the cartridge and then reinsert the ink cartridge. Make sure you do not move the tab more than 1.27 cm (0.5 in.) away from the slot.
For each ink cartridge that needs to be replaced repeat the above steps. Please note that the printer automatically prompts you to align the ink cartridges when you insert a new ink cartridge.
Replacing Ink Cartridges
Sometimes the alignment page may not print as planned because of the problem in the cartridge. To resolve this problem you can follow the solutions given below.
Make sure you check for packing materials or other debris on the printer and then realign the printer. The alignment will fail if any material is left in the printer, and the alignment page may not print.
Check your printer for any obstructions and remove all paper from the paper tray. Now open the internal access door and clear any packaging material or debris from the printer afterwards.
Close the internal access door carefully now, and reload paper into the paper tray. Make sure the stack paper is of the same size and form and is free of dust, wrinkles, tears or folds.
Make sure the paper stack fits inside the paper tray, and is not higher than the top of the paper width chart. Now, delete, test, and then reset the printer to realign.
When the printer is off, press the power button to turn it on. Now open the door to reach the cartridge. You will note the carriage is moving towards the printer’s far right side.
Now, press down onto the top of the colour cartridge to open it and then take out the cartridge to extract it from its slot. If the adhesive tape is still attached to the cartridge, grip the cartridge tightly on its sides.
To eject the reel, pull the pink pull-tab onto the cartridge. You should follow the above steps to remove the black cartridge, check it and then reset it. Carefully shut the door to reach the cartridge.
You will note that when you reinsert the cartridges and close the access door to the cartridge the printer automatically prints an alignment tab.
Repair Ink cartridge setup
Make sure you use paper to prevent problems with printing within the necessary requirements. The paper should be free of wrinkles, knots, dirt or dust. Ensure the stack papers are of the same size and form. If there are any jam issues follow the tips below.
Dispose of any paper loose from the document input tray. If the paper is a clear part way through the printer’s front, then you need to pull the paper carefully to extract it.
Also, clear the printer jam from behind. Switch off the printer, unplug the power cord from the printer ‘s back then remove the printer’s rear access door.
Now remove any stuck paper in the rollers. If the paper breaks as it is removed from the rollers you need to check the rollers and wheels for broken pieces of paper.
Notice that if all the bits of paper are not removed then there will possibly be more paper jams. Plug the connectors in, and turn the printer on. If the problem persists you should clean the rollers.
Wipe the rollers with a clean cloth, allow the rollers to dry completely and cover the rear access door afterwards. Remove the top cover and clear the jam inside the door to reach the cartridge. Close the door for entry to the paper jam and the print tank.
